Jaboree Antoine has been committed to the LSU Tigers since late January 2024 and is one of Brian Kelly’s top 2025 prospects.
First and foremost, Antoine, who hails from New Iberia, Louisiana, is an in-state recruit for LSU, which is critical to the success of any team.
Second, and equally crucial, is Antoine’s talent profile. The 247Sports Composite ranks him as the No. 7 overall cornerback in his class.
Again, Antoine is a major commitment for Kelly and his staff to stay locked in, so the current revelation on social media is a little concerning for LSU.
It turns out that Antoine is currently in Coral Gables attending the University of Miami’s first spring practice.
To make matters even more intriguing, Miami was his first offer in January 2023, and the Hurricanes were one of his top choices prior to his pledge.
Although Antoine eventually chose LSU, Miami appeared to be a viable choice.
“I think I would be a great fit at Miami,” Antoine told CaneSport in January. “I’ve developed excellent ties with them, and Miami is one of my favorite schools. “They are really recruiting me.”
Despite the four-star cornerback’s pledge to LSU, it appears like the Hurricanes are still actively recruiting him. This will be an interesting situation to keep an eye on as things go.
