Breaking News: Just In Dodgers Head Coach Confirm Experienced Star Player Injured

According to Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic, starting pitcher Emmet Sheehan of the Los Angeles Dodgers will start the 2024 season on the disabled list, as stated by manager Dave Roberts. Sheehan was anticipated to compete for a spot in the Dodgers’ rotation despite his upper body injury.

In his 13 games (11 starts), the 24-year-old threw to a 4.92 ERA after making his Major League Baseball debut in 2023. Sheehan’s ultimate stats weren’t the best, but he had a lot of great performances.

Who will therefore be added to the Dodgers’ rotation in addition to Bobby Miller, Tyler Glasnow, and Yoshinobu Yamamoto? Michael Grove and Gavin Stone are possibilities. But Grove might wind up joining the squad as a reliever.

Another contender for the rotation is LA’s offseason addition, James Paxton. Walker Buehler is still recovering from his second Tommy John surgery, and it is currently unknown when he will be able to return.

The Dodgers can still be successful because of their depth. But Sheehan’s injury is regrettable for LA as well as for him. He would have been a valuable addition to the Dodgers’ back of the rotation. Sheehan, meantime, had a fantastic chance to start the year in Los Angeles.

Sheehan’s future is still bright, of course. This is merely a misstep. As a matter of fact, Sheehan might still be a key member of the Dodgers’ rotation come 2024.

When the season starts, it will be interesting to watch how Los Angeles’ final five-man rotation turns out. Even though they are among the favorites to win the World Series, the Dodgers still need to deal with uncertainty as spring training progresses.
