Breaking News: Just In Rams Top Sensational Star Is Now The 4th-highest paid RG in the NFL

Right guard Kevin Dotson was re-signed by the Los Angeles Rams to a three-year, $48 million contract with a $32 million guarantee. For Dotson, who was moved from Pittsburgh to Los Angeles in the offseason in exchange for selections in 2024 and 2025, it was a significant salary increase. Dotson is now the fourth-highest paid right guard in the NFL as a result of the new contract.

Contract information surfaced on OverTheCap.com on Friday. It has been verified that the agreement comprises a guaranteed sum of $32 million, with basic pay of $7,8, and $8 million for the following three seasons. In addition, there are $4.25 in signing bonuses and $20.7 million in roster bonuses. With a 2024 cap number of $12.6 million, the Rams will have approximately $29 million in available salary space.

Although Dotson is getting a solid deal, the Rams have some protection of their own, as they can opt out of the contract after 2025. The Los Angeles Lakers can release the right guard and save $16 million, taking on only $1.416 million in dead money, if they choose to part ways with him prior to his roster bonus in March 2026. In essence, this makes this a two-year contract with a third-year option for the Rams, should things go well.

Due to the fact that Dotson, starting center Coleman Shelton, and starting left tackle AJ Jackson were all expected to become free agents, Los Angeles had some concerns going into the offseason regarding their offensive line. With Dotson already locked up and AJ Jackson on a restricted tender, the Rams are expected to bring him back in 2024. The only remaining question mark is Shelton, but early in the offseason, the Los Angeles Rams appeared to have restored continuity along the offensive line, returning four of their five starters from the previous campaign.
