Latest Update: Just In New Orleans Saints Are In Talk To Sign Top Youngest Experienced Star

After being released by the Las Vegas Raiders on Wednesday, Hunter Renfrow is a wide receiver that the New Orleans Saints are likely to be interested in signing.

During the 2023 season, the Saints made an attempt to acquire Renfrow before the trade deadline, according to a November report by Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

The Saints now have a chance to pursue the receiver since Renfrow is available as a free agent.

Rapoport remarked on Wednesday, “It will be interesting to see what the New Orleans Saints do.” “Derek Carr is obviously with them now. Michael Thomas is leaving the team and becoming a free agent. Do they really need a slot receiver who gets along well with Carr? Time will tell.

With just Chris Olave, A.T. Perry, and Rashid Shaheed projected to return to the position in 2024, the Saints are already lacking depth at receiver.

Renfrow and Saints quarterback Derek Carr had a good working relationship while Carr was a Raider. In 2021, the Clemson graduate was invited to the Pro Bowl after catching 103 catches for 1,038 yards and nine touchdowns.

Prior to the 2022 season, Renfrow’s output dramatically decreased after Josh McDaniels was appointed head coach of the Raiders. He had 61 receptions for 585 yards and two touchdowns during the previous two seasons.

Renfrow is a strong contender to sign with the Saints for a number of reasons, but it’s unclear if new offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak thinks Renfrow will mesh well with his offensive plan.
