The New Orleans Saints, led by Derek Carr, are now trying to reassemble their roster following the largely disastrous 2023 campaign. Despite Carr missing time due to numerous ailments this past season, the Saints were unable to win the lackluster NFC South, and as a result, New Orleans was once again denied a chance to play in the NBA postseason.
The Saints brass made bolstering Derek Carr’s weaponry a top priority this offseason, and they succeeded in doing so on Thursday.
“Sources say that former Dolphins wide receiver Cedrick Wilson and the Saints have agreed to a two-year contract,” NFL insider Adam Schefter of ESPN stated on X, the social media site that was once known as Twitter.
The majority of Wilson’s NFL career was spent as a member of the Dallas Cowboys, where he hauled in receptions from quarterback Dak Prescott since he was drafted there in the sixth round of the 2018 NFL Draft. However, as Schefter noted, Wilson most recently suit up for the explosive Miami Dolphins’ offense. Wilson attended Boise State for his college years prior to this.
