After winning the tournament in 2022, Xavier will begin their quest for another title by traveling to Athens, Georgia, to face the Georgia Bulldogs. Georgia will host the game since it is the SEC’s second automatic qualifier, after Ole Miss declined an NIT bid. The Bulldogs, who are 17-16 overall and 6-12 in conference play, may be without their second-leading scorer, Jabari Abdur-Rahim, who has missed the last four games due to an ankle injury.
The game will take place on Tuesday night at 7 p.m. on ESPN2. The victor will face Wake Forest, the region’s top seed, and Appalachian State.
