GOOD NEWS: Giants Confirm Signing Top Major QB With…….

The New York Giants are coming off a miserable 6-11 2023 season in which they allowed the second-highest number of sacks ever—85—resulting in the early termination of quarterback Daniel Jones’ season owing to an ACL tear.

The season that followed 2022’s exciting 9-7-1 campaign in which the squad advanced to the postseason was a letdown.

Will the Giants draft a QB? Biggest reason team considering moving on from Daniel Jones after 2024, per report - CBSSports.com

Many people have speculated that the Giants may try to draft a quarterback in the 2024 NFL Draft as a result of that disappointing season, but Giants beat writer Art Stapleton of The Record doubts that Michael Penix Jr., a finalist for the Heisman Trophy, will be available.

being a viable option at quarterback, stating, “After what they have gone through in two of the last three seasons with Daniel Jones, can the Giants really usher in a rookie quarterback who had four of his college seasons end by injury?”

It’s true that Penix has previously suffered two ACL tears and two serious shoulder injuries, so it makes sense. However, Jones recently suffered an ACL tear of his own, so it might be difficult to convince the fan base.

With the sixth overall pick, the Giants are interested in a quarterback. The most likely candidate in that area of the draft board is Michigan quarterback J.J. McCarthy, but Penix or maybe Bo Nix could be good choices if the team decides to wait until the second or third rounds to select a new quarterback.

After everything he has been through, it would be difficult to watch Penix behind an offensive line that allowed 85 sacks, and Stapleton is correct that he might not be the ideal quarterback for this squad.
