SAD NEWS: Reason Why This Sensational Star Player Decided To Leave

Although Tommy Conway has stated that he is not in a hurry to decide on his long-term plans, he is currently focused on getting a spot at Euro 2024, whether that means traveling to Germany in Scott Murray’s van or playing as a member of Steve Clarke’s team.

Conway, a striker for the Robins, is keen to make an impression and push his way into the national squad before the end of the summer, therefore he should play for Scotland Under-21 against Kazakhstan on Thursday night.

Scottish powerhouses Celtic and Rangers have been connected to Conway, and Premier League scouts are continuously monitoring the 21-year-old’s development.

In order to secure his future in the West Country and increase his value, City are eager to lock him down to a longer term, but they will have to wait it out despite their best efforts. His contract at Ashton Gate expires in 2025.

Conway stated, “I’ll make a decision based on what’s best for me personally at that particular point in my career and when I have time to sit down and discuss things with my family.” However, I still have a year left and am not in a haste to go.

“My focus is on achieving my goals because the season is not yet over. As long as it’s nice, I don’t mind the noise it produces too much.

“Since Liam Manning joined, I’ve learned a lot from him. I’m in a fantastic situation right now and have learnt a lot from him and his assistants, so huge thanks to them.”

The Taunton-born forward, who is eligible due to his Stirling-born grandfather Daniel, trained with the senior team last year. He has scored nine goals this season and twelve last season, including memorable goals against West Ham in the FA Cup. Clarke is aware of the forward, but he needs to put in a strong showing to fully enter the conversation.

Clarke’s preferred strikers are Hearts’ Lawrence Shankland, Southampton’s Che Adams, and QPR’s Lyndon Dykes. All three are included in the current squad; Millwall’s Kevin Nisbet was also called up the previous season.

When asked about breaking into the starting lineup, he responded, “Obviously there’s competition in my position, but I don’t see why I can’t be challenging those boys who have been called up before.” It will be an interesting one, but right now my primary concentration is on my club performance because that’s the only way I can get there.

“Everything is up to me, and there is only so much I can do. It’s all under my control. I am aware of the steps I must take to catch the manager of Scotland’s attention. I’m still too young to worry about the international stuff, so I’m just concentrating on playing club football and whatever occurs outside of that happens.
