According to reports, Stefano Sensi, a midfielder for Inter Milan, has “now said yes” to joining Leicester City.
Due to rumors that Leicester had inquired about the midfielder’s availability, the 28-year-old has been linked to a move to the King Power Stadium this week.
Sensi has now decided to join Leicester this month, citing FcInterNews and Gazzetta dello Sport. The agreement would only cost City €2 million (£1.72 million), yet as of right now, no deal has reportedly been reached. The six-month contract expiration of his Inter comes with a modest price tag.
Due to past injury struggles, Sensi has only played in less than an hour of Serie A football this season. Now that he is no longer needed at Inter, he is headed for pastures.
According to the Italian media, manager Enzo Maresca has been pressuring Sensi to join Leicester, and it’s possible that Maresca played a significant role in the midfielder’s decision to accept a transfer. Sensi will be a crucial “structural” component of Maresca’s team in the Premier League come next season, as he is “already thinking” about it.
It will also have been tempting to play Premier League football in just six months, and Leicester is taking a small risk by going this way given the low cost.
