JUST IN: Due To Southampton Injury Obstacles, This Top Sensational Star Is Back

Young Dom Ballard, whose first senior season was cut short by a long-term ailment, is hoping to be healthy enough for the 2024–25 preseason.

The young player has been sidelined since late November due to a patella injury he sustained during a League One match against Wycombe Wanderers while on loan at Reading.
Ballard had successful knee surgery in London back in December, and he has since returned to Saints for treatment.

“It’s crucial that I return for preseason and spend time with the boys.” “I have no idea where it will lead me,” Ballard said to the club’s press.

“Right now, all I want is to return in time for preseason. I was sad that my stay at Reading ended so soon because I had a great time there.

“It’s been great since I returned to Southampton. Working with the team has been helpful in getting me through this.

During his brief time with the Royals, Ballard recorded five goals and two assists in 12 games before an injury kept him out of the game for the rest of the season.
A week before he suffered the first major setback of his young career, he also scored three goals for England’s under-19 team.

The 18-year-old, who has previously experienced life as a regular first-team player, is amenable to another loan if Southampton does not present him with an opportunity the next season.

“(Playing at Reading) was my first taste of senior football – I really enjoyed it,” he said. “I’ll head back outside and return if this isn’t my chance.

As you can guess, the day I was hurt was one of the worst days of my life. However, these occurrences do occur. It comes with the job.I’m hoping there won’t be many more. I’m fortunate to be surrounded by kind individuals. My family has supported me. My pals and girlfriend have also done so.

Most significantly, Sturds and the psychologist have both been a huge help in keeping my sanity. I’ve known them for a long time. I’ve had a great experience with them.

“It will be a long time before I return. I’m hoping to return by the beginning of the upcoming season. Right now, it’s just laborious job.”

Ballard will have the best opportunity to be healthy and prepared for the first game of the 2024–25 season if he is prepared for the start of preseason.
