The most recent defensive tackle to get a sizable salary increase is Derrick Brown.
The Carolina Panthers have announced that they have signed Brown to a four-year contract deal.

According to someone with knowledge of the negotiations, Brown’s contract is worth $96 million, of which $63.1 million is guaranteed,         Due to their lack of authority to share the specifics of the agreement, the speaker only agreed to remain anonymous.

Brown just finished his best-ever season, recording career highs in tackles (103) and quarterback hits (15). In 2023, he set an NFL record for defensive lineman with 103 tackles. Due in large part to his play last season, which helped the Panthers rank fourth in total defense, he was selected for his first trip to the Pro Bowl.
