The new frontrunner to take over as the quarterback for the Minnesota Vikings this season is Justin Fields.
The odds for Fields to take over in Minnesota may have dropped in part because, according to the sportsbook, “the majority of Vikings QB bets” have been placed on Fields.
If Fields maximizes his playmaking potential and becomes a star, the Bears wouldn’t trade him to another NFC North team because they wouldn’t want to play against him twice a year. GM Ryan Poles might accept the Vikings’ offer, though, if it is noticeably greater than any other team’s offer.
Poles might not care whether Fields transfers to a division opponent if, after two years of evaluations, he doesn’t think he will reach his maximum potential.
Pryor disclosed Fields’ four intended destinations prior to the commencement of free agency in the piece. Pryor mentioned the Minnesota Vikings as a team that Fields would like to play for, in addition to the Pittsburgh Steelers, Atlanta Falcons, and Las Vegas Raiders.
Apart from the fact that Fields was likely uninterested in playing for the Bears twice a year in purple and gold, the Vikings remain a top option for quarterbacks.
Leading quarterback prospects J.J. McCarthy and Jayden Daniels have expressed nothing but gratitude for the Vikings management team and their plans for the team’s future signal-caller.
With a lethal arsenal of weapons and a staff intended to extract the maximum performance from a quarterback, Minnesota presents an ideal environment for a rookie quarterback to flourish. Fields’ apparent wish to wear purple and gold is only one more illustration of that.
