A rib cage injury sustained during the Week 8 game against the New York Jets resulted in Taylor’s placement on injured reserve. It is announced that quarterback Tyrod Taylor will resume practice.

How Tyrod Taylor is viewing Giants' huge test vs. elite Bills

Daniel Jones missed the last two games because of a neck issue, so the veteran quarterback began both contests. Taylor gained 49 yards on the ground and completed 479 yards of passing with two touchdowns and no interceptions in the two games against the Buffalo Bills and Washington Commanders on the field. In Week 7 versus the Commanders, he concluded with a passer rating of 116.9.

For the last three games, undrafted rookie quarterback Tommy DeVito has started at quarterback for the Giants, guiding them to a 6-1 victory while tossing six touchdowns and just one interception. Both Jones and Taylor are currently listed as injured reserve.

The coaching staff will take the week off to discuss the quarterback issue going forward, coach Brian Daboll announced before to the bye.

Daboll stated last Monday, “We’re just finishing up here, we’re just getting started.” “We’re almost done with the coaches for this game. We’ll work together as a coaching staff, going over a lot of topics, looking at a lot of things, and trying to repair certain things. It goes without saying that we will also discuss that.
