JUST IN: The Dodgers are rolling while Shohei Ohtani sets a record for home runs.

The Los Angeles Dodgers defeated the New York Mets 10-0 on Sunday to cap up a difficult homestand. Andy Pages and Shohei Ohtani both blasted career-high home runs.

With nine strikeouts in eight innings, Tyler Glasnow (4-1) maintained control as the Dodgers won just three of their nine games at home, losing all three series. Los Angeles is only 3-7 since April 10 even with the win.
With his third-inning home run, Ohtani broke the tie with Hideki Matsui for the most MLB records among players born in Japan, standing at 176. In his fifth game, Pages hit his first professional home run.

The Mets saw their six-game winning streak come to an end with seven hits, all singles. After a 0–5 start to the season, New York had gone 12-3 before to the defeat.

10 innings in, Rockies 2, Mariners 1.

In game one of a doubleheader in Denver, Colorado defeated Seattle with a run in the 10th inning thanks to a single from Ryan McMahon against a pulled-in infield.

Colorado broke a six-game losing streak with two singles apiece from Jake Cave and Brenton Doyle, and three hits from Ezequiel Tovar, including an RBI single to level the score in the tenth.  After reliever Justin Lawrence (1-1) hit a single to right center, Jorge Polanco advanced to second base and scored.

The Mariners defeated the Rockies 2–1.

Splitting a day-night doubleheader, Seattle defeated Colorado in Denver thanks to three singles from Seby Zavala and a home run from Cal Raleigh. The Mariners, who have won five straight games, were led by Luke Raley and Julio Rodriguez, each with two hits. The Rockies’ two hits came from Elias Diaz and Elehuris Montero.

Athletics 2, Guardians 6,

Visiting Oakland was swept by Cleveland in three games, with home runs from Will Brennan and a bases-clearing double from Josh Naylor.

The Guardians finished with a major-league-best 16-6 after Tanner Bibee (2-0) gave up two runs over 5 2/3 innings. Three and a half scoreless innings of relief were pitched by Tim Herrin, Nick Sandlin, Cade Smith, and Emmanuel Clase. The A’s lost six of their seven meetings against the Cleveland Indians as they concluded their season series, despite a single home run by Brent Rooker.

Cardinals 0, Brewers 2.

Milwaukee finished the three-game sweep by blanking host St. Louis behind a six-hitter from Colin Rea and three relievers combined. The Brewers won their fourth game in a row thanks to a single by Owen Miller in the seventh inning that brought in two runs. In five innings, Rea gave up five hits, three walks, and three strikeouts. Joel Payamps earned his third save by ending the ninth inning after Elvis Peguero recorded two outs and Bryan Hudson (1-0) pitched two and a third innings.

Sonny Gray (2-1), the starting pitcher for the Cardinals, gave up two runs on five hits and a walk in 6 1/3 innings despite striking out 12. The Cardinals, who dropped their fourth straight game, stranded ten runners and went 0-for-9 when they had runners in scoring position. They also missed a lot of scoring opportunities.
