Kyle agreed to a $1.29 million, one-year contract in free agency with the Pittsburgh Steelers. “Is there anything you’ll miss about Buffalo?” was the question that Summer Juraszek, his fiancée, responded to on her Instagram Stories on Tuesday, April 23.
She answered with a heart emoji, “Everything.” “The folks!”
Leaving Buffalo is probably a harder farewell than usual for Kyle, since he was best friends with Josh prior to signing with the Bills. The 28-year-old made a brief appearance in seven games without contributing any stats, but he never started for Buffalo.
Kyle has played for the Houston Texans, Washington Commanders, and Carolina Panthers since joining the NFL in 2018. Allen has completed his passing for 4,734 yards, 26 touchdowns, and 21 interceptions in 23 game appearances, 19 of which were starts.
But Juraszek is thrilled about her husband’s newfound chance. She cheered the news on Instagram when Steelers general manager Omar Khan announced during the NFL’s annual meeting in Orlando, Florida, that they were signing Kyle. “Here we go,” she wrote, her heart black and gold. “Seventh year.” Really appreciative! I cherish you, @kyle_allen.
