Tyler Adams’ back issue will prevent him from playing for Bournemouth in yet another game, according to manager Andoni Iraola.
The Cherries’ manager provided updates on the condition of his team to the media prior to the team’s Premier League encounter against Aston Villa this coming weekend. The Spaniard disclosed that a number of players will miss the game, severely hurting his team.
The Cherries have won five of their previous seven games and drawn one, which is a really good run of play. Adams, on the other hand, last participated in a match for 90 minutes on March 30 against Everton, winning Man of the Match for his outstanding showing. He hasn’t seen the pitch since though, since he’s been occupied with Iraola has all but ruled out Adams from the game, even though the USMNT captain did not name mention him in his pre-match press conference.
When asked whether of his injured players will be included on the matchday roster versus Villa, the Cherries manager said, “Some are getting closer but I don’t expect them for the Villa game, no.”
As the season draws to a close, the Cherries will take on Villa this weekend in an attempt to dash their dreams of finishing in the top four. With 63 points, Ollie Watkins and company currently lead fourth-place Tottenham by three points.
