During his pregame press conference for this weekend’s match against Swansea City, David Wagner stated that both Grant Hanley and Dimitris Giannoulis are nearing rehabilitation. After several months of absence for both players, the club captain resumed full training this week, and Giannoulis is anticipated to return the following week.
“After the last game, so far, so good. Jonny (Rowe) felt a little sore after the last game, so that was the only player about whom we were a little concerned,” Wagner says.
“His scan was clear and he is back in the group for Saturday.”With Grant added, it appears to be the same team as the previous game. He’s been in team training for the entire week.
The most crucial thing is that he feels different and healthier. He will return to peak performance with a few more weeks of team training.
“If all goes according to plan, Dimi will resume team training the following week. Hernández Onel will require some time.” If Wagner’s team defeats Swansea City, they will be one step closer to guaranteeing a play-off position.
Following Hull City’s 3-2 victory over Coventry, the Tigers, West Brom, and Norwich are expected to contend for the final three berths. The German also claims that his team is prepared for the match. “They are aware that we have one more step to do to attain our initial objective. Getting things delivered is what matters. Our fans are aware of this. Together, we want to take this step,” he continues.
“Now that this game is clear, it might make a difference. We have complete knowledge. We’re excited to play this game and see it through.”Swansea has won their last three games, are on a roll, and have not let up a goal. We honor our rival.
“As a manager, it takes time to communicate your ideas and win everyone over. They’ve done a lot of work as a manager and backroom staff in recent weeks, and it looks very nice.”There won’t be any shocks because their methodology and style are obvious. We would like to display our weaponry as well.
“If someone requires additional inspiration for this Saturday’s match, they are not a football player and do not belong on this earth. I’m really at ease with the way we, as a club, as a group, and as individuals, think. We don’t require more inspiration.” Kenny McLean and Rowe were named Player and Young Player of the Season, and Dan Barden signed a new deal this week, making it a busy week for news at the team.
“I also would have selected (Kenny). I was a little taken aback that so many fans choose him because those honors are typically given to players who excel in the spotlight and score goals.”All I can do is evaluate our time together.
He is an extremely talented athlete, an excellent trainer, highly competitive, and highly sensitive. He is our most dependable player, and I am thrilled for him. He’s also a decent person.
“(Dan) is a qualified goalkeeper. In the past, he hasn’t received much playing time. Even though he is still young, his profile is intriguing. We can only speculate about how excellent he can be given how much football he has missed.”
