The Winnipeg Blue Bombers and Saskatchewan Roughriders will play their first preseason game of 2024 on Monday afternoon at Mosaic Stadium.
Zach Collaros isn’t on the Blue Bombers’ official depth chart, and quarterback Chris Streveler will start under center. In January, after spending time in the NFL, Streveler signed a one-year contract with Winnipeg to begin his second tenure with the franchise.
In his second NFL game back in Winnipeg, Tyrell Ford will start at cornerback. Kenny Lawler and Drew Wolitarsky, two well-known players, are ranked first on the depth chart for Monday’s matchup. Brady Oliveira won’t be participating. As a running back, Johnny Augustine will instead get the start.
The Roughriders’ depth chart indicates that many of its starters, including safety Jayden Dalke, defensive tackle Anthony Lanier II, quarterback Trevor Harris, and receivers Kian Schaffer-Baker, Samuel Emilus, and Shawn Bane Jr., will start. Additionally, it’s the first time that supporters will see offensive lineman Jermarcus Hardrick, running back AJ Ouellette, and middle linebacker Jameer Thurman in green and white after they all inked free agent contracts with the team this off-season. For the game on Monday, all three of them are named as the starters at their respective positions.
