The Los Angeles Rams were shocked to learn about Aaron Donald’s retirement on March 15, when everyone was preoccupied with the upcoming offseason. Donald was one of the best football players of all time, an eight-time All-Pro and three-time Defensive Player of the Year.
Although it is impossible to replace a player of Donald’s ability, the Rams are counting on Braden Fiske, Kobie Turner, and Jared Verse to help them make up for the output that employee No. 99 will no longer be able to provide.
Unless Donald is willing to go back to the football field, that is.
In preparation for a potential return, the Los Angeles Rams are keeping Aaron Donald’s locker intact.
Aaron Donald is a favorite to return to the Los Angeles Rams for an 11th season, especially with Cooper Kupp, his 2017 squadmate. Kupp claims that the Rams still had Donald’s locker prepared for the 32-year-old defender’s return, per NFL Network’s Bridget Condon.
Although there hasn’t been any official word that Donald is getting ready to rejoin the Rams before the 2024 season begins against the Detroit Lions, Los Angeles will be ready to get the intimidating defensive back if he chooses to participate.
