As he prepares to depart the League One team on a free transfer at the end of the current campaign, journalist Pete O’Rourke claims that Reading defender Clinton Mola is in high demand.
The 23-year-old finally made an impact on the Reading club with 30 appearances altogether, after being benched for the first part of the year. It is currently unknown, though, whether he will stay with Ruben Selles’ squad for the upcoming season. An agreement could not be reached despite Reading’s invitation to the defender to prolong his contract at Madejski Stadium due to changes in the terms made by the club’s potential new owners. However, after he departs the League One team on the 30th, Mola won’t be short of offers.
He has made himself available to a number of Championship clubs, and they will be vying with one another to get him to sign with them. Mola’s ability to play a variety of back positions will give his new team more options. Everyone will be watching where the star of Reading, who is leaving, ends up for the upcoming season.
