Breaking News: Leeds agreed to free this top sensational star player worth £15 million

Borussia Monchengladbach shown interest in turning the Austrian defender’s loan into a permanent agreement, therefore Leeds is apparently looking to pay £15 million for the defender. After their Championship play-off campaign, reports in Germany indicate that the Whites may expedite negotiations over Wober’s future.

Since Leeds was demoted from the Premier League after the previous season, Wober has been on loan to the Bundesliga team. For Gladbach in all competitions, the 26-year-old has made 27 appearances.

The German team has stated that they hope to retain Wober through the summer. “We are having discussions with everyone involved, of course we would like to keep Max with us,” BILD was informed by Roland Virkus, the sporting director. However, the expectations are very high.

According to BILD, Leeds is seeking to pay £15 million for the adaptable defender in the summer and has stated that he will stay if no interested party makes a bid of that amount. The lower league team is even more optimistic that Wober’s performance for Austria at Euro 2024 would boost his value.

Next season, Wober might wind up staying in the Championship for at least a year. Leeds takes on Norwich in the play-off semi-final with a trip to Wembley on the line following a goalless draw in the first leg. Due to a sharp decline in performance before the conclusion of the season, Daniel Farke’s team lost ground to Ipswich for the second automatic promotion position. Wober hasn’t spoken to Leeds in a while, the player disclosed lately. After the Euros, when Austria faces a formidable group that includes France, Poland, and the Netherlands, he wants his future to be settled.
