Callum Doyle revealed some major setbacks in which this could be the most…..

Norwich City’s journey will inevitably include setbacks; Callum Doyle referred to the team’s loss against Swansea as “one of those days.” In a disappointing return to Championship play following the international break, City was unable to leave South Wales with points despite having plenty of opportunities. Amankwah Forson’s own goal early in the game was sufficient to keep the teams apart.

In South Wales, City’s patchy campaign began as both Borja Sainz and Josh Sargent missed opportunities. During a stressful afternoon, Johannes Hoff Thorup’s team put on a subpar overall effort, with several of the players in yellow and green making questionable decisions. An irritated Although Doyle lamented the lost chances, he was also quick to find the silver lining in the Swansea.com Stadium defeat. We had clear-cut opportunities that we ought to have scored. After the game, Doyle said, “It was one of those days where nothing was going in for us.” We played excellent game management, in my opinion, particularly in the second half. During the season, you will have various difficulties. The season is still in its early stages. The boys are still getting used to the new football style, but I can see it coming together. The boys are enjoying our increased ball play and interaction, but today was simply one of those days. It’s a long season and we’ve got Watford at home next weekend, it’s an important one and we need to get the three points.”

Over the summer window, Norwich saw a lot of changes: Doyle was one of eight new signings, while nine players left Carrow Road. There is inevitably a degree of uncertainty with that amount of churn. While that background provides some comfort, the Manchester City loanee hopes that it won’t happen often for this Norwich team, praising one of his teammates in particular. “Hopefully not,” Doyle uttered. “It was just that one last thing, but we did well to get into good areas.” For us, it just wasn’t connecting. Swansea did a great job defending their box, but we had many openings that we ought to have seized. Fair play to them. Onel Hernandez struck me as being straight and tough on players when he first came on. That is what this team needs.
