Football Insider has learned from sources that Nottingham Forest is interested in signing Burnley winger Luca Koleosho. Senior journalist Pete O’Rourke stated that Koleosho’s future will rely on Burnley’s position in the Championship in an interview with Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast. Having moved swiftly to lock down the 20-year-old to a new five-year contract, the Clarets value the player at over £40 million.
A possible transfer throughout the summer is more likely than it is to happen during the forthcoming January transfer window involving the winger. The price that Burnley set for Koleosho turned away Wolves’ attempts to sign him on deadline day. Going into next transfer windows, Forest isn’t the only team that is believed to be impressed with him. Koleosho is expected to generate “a lot of interest,” giving Forest fierce competition to get his autograph.Since interest in Anthony Elanga started to grow in the summer, Forest has been searching for a winger, and Koleosho has emerged as a key target. In 15 Premier League games last season, the winger managed one goal and one assist. The Italy Under-21 international has scored twice in five Championship games to open the new campaign in excellent fashion. He has been started in all but one of Burnley’s games by Scott Parker, who has made him an essential member of the team.
