BREAKING NEWS: According to ESPN Ezekiel Elliott will find a new team after losing several key players… And guess the team he’s moving to

ESPN suggests star running back Ezekiel Elliott will find a new team after this season as rumors are starting to spiral out of the Dallas Cowboys. The team can kiss goodbye to any chance of making the postseason this year after losing several key players, including quarterback Dak Prescott who’s recovering from a season-ending injury. Dallas is still alive at 5-8, but the chances of them playing in the playoffs are slim as they’ve attempted to revitalize the season with Cooper Rush under center. While they could blame injuries, they were unsuccessful this year because of the lack of offseason moves before this season despite proclaiming going “All inThis means they will turn the page to make some improvements but Stephen Jones claims the Cowboys fans should brace for another offseason of being conservative in making moves. They will continue to look into next year’s draft to improve their roster and get younger. It doesn’t spell good news for several veteran players on expiring contracts, including Elliott who signed a one-year deal late in last offseason to give some life to the Cowboys ground game. With that, Eric Kendricks will exit the team heading for potential retirement and running back Elliott will be searching for a new roster to revitalize his career.

Originally selected in the first round of the 2016 NFL Draft, Elliott was one of the rare speedsters in the league before playing for one of the most dominant offensive lines. However, injuries have been slowing him down. In 2021, he suffered a torn PCL, and he hasn’t been the same since. Elliott spent one year with the New England Patriots in 2023 before returning to the Cowboys to see if he has any nostalgia left. Here are the two next potential teams for the veteranDespite having a promising 2024 season with Jim Harbaugh coming in, it might not be enough for the Chargers to make a deep run this upcoming postseason. Nobody loves the ground game more than Harbaugh but that’s been stalling ever since J.K. Dobbins and Gus Edwards have been dealing with injuries. The Chargers might not have the right blueprint to win a Super Bowl while Justin Herbert continues to improve each season despite the supporting cast he’s been dealing with each year. However, they need a capable runner behind whoever they get out of next year’s draft class.

While Elliott isn’t as fast as everyone remembers, he has the size to run through defenders and get positive yards in third-down possessions. He could become a true visionary in Harbaugh’s “winning in the trenches” of playing a physical hard-nosed football behind a solid offensive line. Elliott may never get back to elite form but he could recapture a few good seasons playing with Herbert.

Help For Derrick Henry

The Baltimore Ravens came into this season with a huge momentum booster since signing Derrick Henry. It’s hard to envision they have that same energy anymore as the team has several offensive struggles in their passing game. Lamar Jackson continues to be MVP level but he has his hesitation moments where he can’t decide whether to throw the football or run it. However, the team is falling down in the playoff picture and while they’ll make the postseason, it’s hard to imagine they’ll find any success.

They got Keaton Mitchell this year but he’s been non-existent in the ground game behind recently extended Justice Hill and Henry. Elliott could have some spare juice in his tank and get this offense back on the right path. The veteran might not be a starter anymore in the league, he could be a stress reliever for Henry, a player who they don’t want to lose in the regular season.
