Gleyber Torres, the Yankees’ second baseman, is still unsigned for the 2025 campaign, and it’s uncertain where he will play.

A wide range of speculation was made by MLB fans from Torres simply heading back to the Yankees or anywhere from the Chicago Cubs, Seattle Mariners, Washington Nationals, or the Oakland Athletics. Torres came into the league in 2018 with the Yankees and has spent all seven seasons of his MLB career with the franchise. In 2024, Torres participated in 154 games where he batted .257 with 15 home runs, 63 RBIs, and a .709 OPS.
Despite hitting just 15 home runs in 2024, Torres still had a successful season with 151 hits, 80 runs scored, and a.330 on-base percentage, mostly from the leadoff position.
