Breaking News: Just IN Patrick Mahomes Made Top Sensational Star To Sign Long Contract Extension

The news that Chris Jones would be joining the Chiefs for a five-year contract, probably ending his career as a Chief, thrilled Chiefs fans over the weekend. Since the deal was made days before free agency opened, teams were unable to contact Jones and try to lure him away. Turns out, Patrick Mahomes was probably the most excited about the news—aside from Jones, of course—and he knew this was coming moments after the Chiefs won their third Super Bowl in five years. When Mahomes spoke to Jones on the podium after the overtime victory, he said, “Hey bro, you ain’t going nowhere. I promise you.” The two then decided that they wanted to be the first team to win three straight championships.

It’s possible to interpret this as one of those talks that take place during the exhilarating moments following a Super Bowl victory, but this wasn’t the first time Jones had mentioned his desire to remain in Kansas City. Jones expressed his hope that the Chiefs may retain him while he was seated with one of the post-game crews after the overtime victory.

The big moment came, though, when Jones stumbled onto the stage at the Super Bowl rally and announced inebriatedly that he was remaining in Kansas City. His agent responded hilariously, pleading with him to be cut off from alcohol. After that inebriated speech, many didn’t think Jones would stay in Kansas City, but it turns out that Jones meant it.

Along with Mahomes and Travis Kelce, Jones is one of the Kansas City big three. The three players already own three Super Bowl rings and are eager to add additional memorabilia to their collection. The fact that Jones is returning gives them the chance to achieve it in 2024.
