As part of a £35 million purchase of multiple retail centers, M Core, one of the biggest privately held commercial property collectives in the UK, purchased Antelope Retail Park near Southampton. At around 138,000 square feet, the park is the portfolio’s main focal point.
Strong national stores like The Range, Lidl, Ninja Warrior, KFC Drive-Thru, The Gym, Greggs, and Costa Coffee serve as its anchors. “We could not let up this exceptional opportunity to acquire such a high-quality, multi-site portfolio, spanning much of the UK,” stated James Buchanan, managing director of LCP Group.
These assets are of a scale, breadth, and social impact that meets our investment goals. They include notable retail destinations in affluent communities.
Building on the current blend of the portfolio’s high-performing national occupiers and retailers, we are enthusiastic about the opportunity to generate further returns through management and enhancement.
“M Core has made more than £125 million in retail investments so far this year, and we’re still actively looking to buy stores.” Our skilled asset management team is actively looking for opportunities all throughout the nation, and we have £300 million in cash ready to invest in assets valued between £1 million and £100 million.
The portfolio includes eight other centers and convenience stores, one of which is the 37,005 square foot Matalan store located off St George’s Way in Newport, Isle of Wight. In just the previous three years, M Core claims to have spent over £560 million in 90 shopping centers, retail parks, and convenience stores throughout the United Kingdom.
