JUST IN: Bay Packers Decide To Sign Playmaker for $22 Million

Though there are several intriguing young receivers the Green Bay Packers have discovered, one trade suggestion would see Tee Higgins join the team before the 2024 NFL Draft.

This Packers-Bengals Trade Sends Tee Higgins To Green Bay

Sayre Bedinger of Lombardi Ave revealed their most recent mock draft, a seven-rounder that featured a trade for the Higgins With their first two selections, the Packers selected offensive tackle Amarius Mims and linebacker Edgerrin Cooper, then traded for the great wide out from the Cincinnati Bengals.

Josh Jacobs’ departure from the Packers demonstrated their willingness to let go of veteran veterans in order to bring in even better players, according to Bedinger. “Green Bay’s attack would reach new heights if Higgins were a part of the passing game.

The Packers would be foolish to overlook Higgins’s potential availability.

Higgins, 25, might still be playing for a different team in 2024 or 2025, regardless of the Packers’ interest in him.

Higgins, a former Clemson player selected in the second round, has proven to be a dependable weapon for the Bengals. Over the course of four seasons, he has amassed 257 receptions for 3,684 yards and 24 touchdowns, but he hasn’t been able to lock down a long-term deal.

Rather than offering Higgins an extension, the Bengals have franchise-tagged him, granting him a $21.8 million contract until 2024. Higgins has asked to be traded to a new team since he doesn’t think good of that.

Duke Tobin, the director of player personnel for the Bengals, hasn’t ruled out a trade. Head coach Zac Taylor has made an effort to clarify that he intends to keep Higgins in the building come 2024.

Although a possible deal for Higgins has not yet progressed, the offseason still has a long way to go. If the Bengals are unable to come to an agreement on an extension with their star wide receiver, they may also continue trade talks until the trade deadline in the middle of the 2024 campaign.

The team already has a ton of youthful potential at wide receiver, but Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst might be open to adding another veteran.

A fit After a great rookie campaign, Christian Watson may be extremely dangerous in Green Bay’s offense. Regretfully, persistent hamstring problems prevented him from playing much in 2023. If he can continue to be healthy, he hopes for a breakthrough third season.

Romeo Doubs proved to be one of the most dependable touchdown threats for Green Bay in the previous season. On just 59 receptions, he hauled in eight touchdowns; on 10 postseason catches, he added 234 yards and a touchdown.

Last year, obscure commodities and rookies also made an impression. In their rookie seasons, Jayden Reed and Dontayvion Wicks appeared to be future stars, while as an undrafted free agent, Malik Heath also shown some promising moments.

Bo Melton, a second-year wide receiver, had a breakthrough season toward the end, hauling in six passes for 105 yards and a touchdown in a crucial victory over the Minnesota Vikings.

Gutekunst might believe that it’s preferable to let these kids continue to develop with Jordan Love because there are so many young wide outs who are still growing.
