Against the Florida Gators, Georgia quarterback Stetson Bennett suffered a right shoulder injury in the first half of the game.
Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint, a wide receiver, caught Bennett’s first touchdown pass of the game, which covered 32 yards. Bennett did, however, hurt his right shoulder during the play.
The quarterback for Georgia was observed clutching his right shoulder once more after a pass, but he continued to play in that series.
Just before the first quarter ended, Bennett entered his locker. Bennett was replaced at quarterback by D’Wan Mathis for the Bulldogs.
Bennett rejoined the match, but Mathis replaced him after he was substituted in the second half.
Bennett was substituted in the second half because of his problems and to allow Mathis to score, even though he did have an injury in the early half.
