According to Paul Robinson, Leeds United ought to try to sign this summer. The former Whites midfielder is reportedly considering a return to Elland Road for the upcoming campaign.

Robinson thinks the team may increase their chances of acquiring Phillips this summer by raising money by offloading undesired players like Marc Roca and Brenden Aaronson.
Although worries about financial fair play would also need to be taken into account, the former goalkeeper asserted that these sales should help allay any problems with Premier League regulations.
“We are completely aware of FFP and PSR. Robinson stated, “Selling some of these players out on loan could be a good source of revenue. That’s something Leeds will obviously have to be wary of if they go up to the Premier League.”They’ll also want to bolster their team with some additional talent.
There aren’t many Leeds supporters who are opposed to acquiring Kalvin Phillips if you take a look at Marc Roca, Rasmus Kristensen, Brenden Aaronson, and other players.
In his first season with the team, Phillips made just 12 league appearances for Man City, 10 of which were as substitutes (all data courtesy of Fbref).
The midfielder’s struggles to find playing time this season led to a January loan move to West Ham.
The 28-year-old has made seven appearances for David Moyes’ team in the Premier League as they attempt to qualify for Europe. According to reports, City has asked for £30 million in exchange for the former Leeds star.
Given the challenges Phillips has had recently, it is unclear if the Yorkshire team would be eager to make a bid for him at that price.
Additionally, everything will rely on if Daniel Farke’s team is promoted to the Premier League, which is far from certain heading into the last four games of the season. Leeds should look into selling players on loan this summer in order to raise money.
However, considering Phillips’ previous problems, utilizing those funds to sign him could be a risky move. He has had setbacks due to injuries, and his West Ham performances this season have been unimpressive.
There’s no guarantee he’ll ever reach those same heights again, but perhaps returning to Leeds could help him reach his peak, and that version of him would be a fantastic asset to Farke’s team.
