latest update : How Red Bull could help Ferrari’s ‘time-consuming puzzle’

Ferrari apparently wants to bring Red Bull’s technical directors to Maranello. Paolo Filisetti, a technical expert with RacingNews365, explains.
The Red Bull tempest is far from over following the claims against Christian Horner.

The competition appears to take advantage of moments of uncertainty: according to recent rumors, Ferrari has increased communication with members of the technical department at Milton Keynes.

This is alleged to be an attack on the “magic circle” of engineers that surround technical director Pierre Waché. Those engineers hold second-tier executive positions, yet this does not diminish their importance.

At least three engineers at Red Bull, whose names are still unknown, appear to be in charge of the car’s engineering and future developments. They are intimately familiar with the RB20’s evolution plans and the scheduling of update packages – a treasure of knowledge that no team should overlook, especially with 2025 in mind.

Everyone is confident that next year, all teams, including Red Bull, will focus only on 2026, when the new regulations take effect.

As a result, changes in the second half of this season are expected to be just as frequent as in the first, as teams try to set the groundwork for next year’s car.

Understanding Red Bull’s development strategy for 2025 could be a powerful tool for closing the gap with the team.

The integration of new engineers has also been facilitated because they no longer have to spend as much time on gardening leave, which occurs when engineers or other executives transition from one team to another and must first bridge a period of time away from work. This prevents excessive information from being sent accidently.

Ferrari’s strategy may include strengthening the squad with less prominent people while also setting the road for the entrance of major names. Fred Vasseur has apparently hired Loïc Serra from Mercedes, but precise details have yet to be confirmed.

The Scuderia intends to finalize the technical rankings prior to the start of the 2026 project. This is a time-consuming task, but recent events may have accelerated the process.f
