Sunderland Signed This Major Winger Worth £20 million For…..

During the summer transfer window, the Black Cats will ask approximately £20 million for their outstanding player.
According to sources, Sunderland will want £20 million during the summer transfer window for star winger Jack Clarke.

This season, the former Tottenham and Leeds United player has been outstanding, tallying 15 goals in the Championship and dishing out four assists.

Clarke was the target of significant transfer interest during the summer and winter windows. Burnley had bids rejected, and on deadline day last month, Lazio, a Serie A club, had two bids refused. Clarke has also been linked to West Ham, Brentford, and Crystal Palace.

But according to a Football Insider story, Sunderland will only ask £20 million for Clarke’s sale this summer. In July 2022, the Black Cats paid Tottenham between £750k and £800k for the forward. However, if Sunderland sells Clarke, Spurs will still owe 25%.

By the time summer arrives, the 23-year-old will still have two years left on his current contract, which puts Sunderland in a strong position to demand a respectable fee. Though he has aspirations to rejoin the Premier League, Clarke is reportedly content at the Academy of Light.

The player’s sale is anticipated this summer unless Sunderland, under Mike Dodds, manages to pull off an impossible promotion to the Premier League. Contract negotiations between Clarke’s team and Sunderland are also reportedly at a standstill.

With an ankle injury that kept him out of Sunderland’s Championship match against Swansea City last Saturday, Dodds is still optimistic that Clarke will be ready to play this weekend against Norwich City.
“That’s what I’m being told,” Dodds responded when asked if Monday’s Swansea City game will still see a reevaluation of Clarke’s injury. “He’s eager to get going.

“He’s a strong boy. He hasn’t missed many football games since entering.  We assumed he would be available because he never skips training, but for some reason that hasn’t occurred.”
