JUST IN: Bills confirm best veteran wide receiver who won the Super Bowl, has decide on…

The Kansas City Chiefs, who won the Super Bowl the previous season, are apparently targeting a player for the Buffalo Bills. Wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling was the guest of the Bills on Monday night, as Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. After meeting last week with another prominent AFC team, Valdes-Scantling traveled to Buffalo.

Report: Super Bowl-winning WR visiting Buffalo Bills

The top two wide receivers from the previous campaign, Stefon Diggs and Gabe Davis, were released by the Bills. In terms of receiving touchdowns and receiving yards, the two placed first and second, respectively. Probably Buffalo’s primary offseason objective was replacing the 15-touchdown gap left by the two veteran players who were leaving. A former wide receiver seeking a new chapter in his career was recently signed by the Bills.

In the second round of the 2024 NFL Draft, Buffalo added a superb wide receiver talent as well. Still, it looks like the team is searching for more depth at receiver. The last two seasons of Valdes-Scantling’s career were spent as a Chief. The season 2023 was the 29-year-old’s weakest statistically. For a career low, the veteran wide out only caught 21 passes for 315 yards and one touchdown. More than any of his 21 catches from the previous season, Chiefs supporters would recall Valdes-Scantling for one pivotal error.
