The team has agreed to a new two-year contract with Kelvin Abrefa, a defender for Reading FC. Despite missing a significant portion of the previous season due to injuries, the 20-year-old did make an appearance as the Royals avoided relegation from League One near the conclusion of the campaign.
In all, he made 13 senior appearances for Ruben Selles’ team during the previous campaign, including 11 League One matches, one EFL Cup match, and one EFL Trophy match. He also participated in eight Premier League 2 games for Noel Hunt’s U21 team.
Mark Bowen, the head of football operations, stated: “We’re thrilled to have Kelvin on a new, two-year contract.” We’re delighted that Kelvin has decided to continue his development as a Reading player despite the understandable high level of interest from outside parties.
