Southampton release of this major star could be the differecult chanllenge for the team. The permanent signing of Duje Ćaleta-Car (27) from Southampton has been confirmed by Lyon in an official announcement. Having played with Les Gones on loan during the previous season, the Croatian international defender is now a regular fixture when Les Gones exercised their purchase option.
A €3.6 million upfront fee is expected from OL for the transfer of the former Marseille defender. Together with the above bonuses, the newly promoted Premier League team will also receive an additional €2.1 million in earnings from future sales. Ćaleta-Car participated in 29 games for OL in the previous campaign.
Along with confirming Mama Baldé’s (28), permanent signing from Troyes after his loan period, Lyon also made a statement. Les Gones will have to pay an estimated €6.5 million in total, including bonuses, for the Guinea-Bissau international. Additionally, 10% of any future sales of the player will go to Troyes. John Textor made an unsuccessful attempt to persuade Baldé to go with OL’s sister team, Botafogo.
